AutoCrypt and Valtech Mobility have partnered to develop a CCC-compliant digital key ecosystem, showcased at IAA Mobility 2025. The solution leverages ultra-wideband (UWB) technology to let drivers lock, unlock and start their vehicles via smartphone with high security and low-latency performance.
Valtech Mobility contributes its expertise in designing in-vehicle applications and back-end user-data management, while AutoCrypt provides authentication and security infrastructure built on a purpose-built cloud platform. The digital key uses certificate-based key management and in-vehicle authentication to ensure end-to-end cybersecurity and privacy.
The ecosystem features open APIs that allow OEMs and mobility operators to integrate remote access, car-sharing and premium services with minimal development overhead. It is designed to scale across different vehicle models and transportation modes, turning smartphones into secure keys while complying with Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) standards.
This collaboration demonstrates how automotive cybersecurity providers and mobility innovators can deliver safe, user-friendly digital key solutions for next-generation connected vehicles.
