MIND, a platform that automates Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Insider Risk Management (IRM), has announced a technology integration with Okta, the identity management company. The collaboration connects two key areas of cybersecurity—data security and identity.

Through the integration, organizations can now enforce data security policies based on identity signals from Okta. Security teams are able to adapt policies dynamically using user attributes such as department, role, location, or risk level, giving them the ability to tailor protections in real time and at scale.

Eran Barak, Co-Founder and CEO at MIND, said the partnership brings together “who users are” and “what data matters most,” allowing for stronger protection, particularly as enterprises adopt generative AI tools. The joint solution evaluates user context and behavior alongside data sensitivity, helping security teams detect insider risks more effectively while automating policy enforcement and preventing the leakage of sensitive information.

Okta Ventures, the investment arm of Okta, is also a Series A investor in MIND, underscoring the alignment between the two companies. Stephen Lee, Vice President of Technical Strategy and Partnerships at Okta, said the integration combines identity insights with automated data protection in a way that gives organizations a smarter and more adaptive approach to managing risk.

Guild, a shared customer of both companies, has already reported benefits. Julie Chickillo, Vice President of Information Security at Guild, said the integration delivered immediate value and was simple to adopt, describing it as “working like magic.”

The combined solution allows enterprises to adjust MIND’s data policies based on Okta’s risk indicators, automatically apply context-aware data security rules, and prevent potentially risky insiders from sharing sensitive information. MIND will demonstrate the integration at Oktane25, Okta’s annual flagship conference, where industry professionals will explore new developments in identity and data security.
